Western Regional Waste Management

A Cleaner Future Starts Today

Western Regional Waste Management (WRWM), operated by Western Regional Service Board
(WRSB), is a not-for-profit organization responsible for the development and implementation of the waste management strategy in Western Newfoundland. WRWM manages six waste transfer stations and three seasonal public drop-off sites in the Western Region.

The Western Regional Service Board was created by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador to deliver regional services to municipalities within the western region of the province.  Sort It Western is the regional recycling program developed and maintained by WRWM which outlines what should be recycled by households and businesses.

Started in 2018, Sort It Western outlines what can and cannot be recycled, and how to prepare materials for processing.

How To Sort It?

It's As Easy As...

Place clean recyclables in transparent blue bags.
Place accepted garbage in clear bags.
Place bags in the designated area on your collection day.
